About me
Ella Norwich is the Sustainability Manager at We The Curious, where she leads work towards their decarbonisation goal: to become a site powered without fossil fuels, using 100% renewable electricity and reducing offsite emissions by 30% by 2030 (against a 2019 baseline year). Her role spans a wide range of operational and environmental sustainability work, including Scope 1–3 carbon reporting, energy reduction initiatives, sustainable procurement and contractor management, staff training, and convening cross-departmental groups to support climate action across the organisation.Alongside this work, Ella supports We The Curious’s programming and exhibition teams with climate-related content and shares learning beyond the organisation to support wider climate action across Bristol and the science and discovery centre sector.Her background is in sustainability within the built environment, including work on BREEAM construction projects, as well as the festival sector. She has contributed to research for A Greener Future and coordinates sustainability assessment and improvement work for Green Man festival.
