Eve is the Education Outreach Officer at the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh. In this role they are responsible for the design and delivery of the outreach programme for school pupils across Scotland. This includes online and in-person workshops with pupils of all ages. They joined the Botanics in 2023 when this new role in the Education Team was established and as such, they have worked closely with partners both internally and externally to build this successful programme. This work was internationally recognised when they were awarded the 2026 Marsh Award for Education in Botanic Gardens by Botanic Gardens Conservation Internation (BGCI).
They have a passion for inclusion and have explored topics such as queer history and colonisation in their work as well designing programmes specifically for pupils with profound and complex disabilities. They are excited to be at ASDC this year as we consider how our interesting identities impact our engagement with science.
