Lorraine Lemon is Head of Business Development at Dundee Science Centre and a senior leader with over 20 years' experience across the charity and education sectors. She leads the Centre's strategic partnerships, fundraising and business development, working collaboratively with academia, industry, education and community organisations to increase access to STEM learning and create sustainable opportunities for future generations.
Lorraine has successfully secured funding from trusts, foundations and corporate partners developing programmes that connect science with communities through education, employability and public engagement. She has a particular interest in creating meaningful STEM work experience and career-ready opportunities for young people, especially those from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds.
Alongside her role at Dundee Science Centre, Lorraine is Vice President of Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce, where she champions collaboration between business, education and the third sector to strengthen skills development and support inclusive economic growth. She is passionate about ensuring science centres play a vital role in inspiring curiosity, building confidence and helping young people see a future for themselves in STEM.
